I recently spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons as the Director of Design with the Seattle Sounders. It was a multifaceted role that was rewarding to blend my management skills with my creative side in overseeing the design team.
The projects below, reflect a few of the multifaceted projects I was a part of through art directing, project management, or being a utility player.
ADIDAS COPA ULTRABOOST SEATTLE SOUNDERS SHOE RELEASE
Seattle is home to a passionate soccer community and the fans love to show their support in any way possible. As a result, our internal Marketing team had the opportunity to come together for a last-minute photo shoot to help launch the Sounders branded shoe.
The concept for the shoot was to feel like a pickup game with a bunch of friends in an urban setting on a summer evening in Seattle. I provided the art direction for the photoshoot and designed the campaign for the release. Photography was taken by @janegphoto and the launch video was created and directed by our internal video team.
Sounders New Training Facility
I worked on the new training facility for the 2 seasons I was with the club. I was in charge of help guiding the art direction and any decsions around art/color of the new branding being implemented in the facility. I was apart of selecting, fabric, tiles, imagery, placement of imagery, selecting artist, and much more! Below are a few shots of the facility and some of the work I was a part of for decision making.
